Travis Noah

Hello, my name is Travis Noah. I am 38 years old. I experience a disability called cerebral palsy. Currently, I am the Peer Advocate for Hope Community Resources Inc. In addition, I serve on the Governor’s Council on Disabilities and Special Education. I am also a member of the State Vocational Rehabilitation committee. I am also a board member for Access Alaska, and specifically, currently I am their Secretary. Finally, I am also a leader of the developmental disabilities Shared Vision effort across the state. I would also note that I have a Supported Decision-making Agreement.

Jess Doherty

My name is Jess Doherty. I am a Program Coordinator with the Governor’s Council on Disabilities & Special Education at the State of Alaska. My focus is on Employment, Supported Decision Making Agreements, Rural Transitions Curriculum, and the Living Well Grant, which seeks to strengthen home and community-based service systems and promote the health, safety, independence, and participation of people with disabilities. Prior to my work at the Governor’s Council I spent almost a decade in public health, working with newborn screening (NBS) programs and children and youth with special health care needs (CYSHCN) programs.
