Your Instructor

Hannah Tashjian, OTR/L, EI

Hannah Tashjian is an occupational therapist and early intervention specialist at Program for Infants and Children and a tango teacher. Hannah specializes in identifying and resolving occupational challenges in daily tasks and fostering an empowered environment for self-improvement across the lifespan. Her special interests include the adaptive reactions of polyvagal theory, sensory-motor development, and movement- based reflex integration. Hannah began dancing, then teaching tango in 2010 and reflects that tango has become an essential practice for maintaining a healthy balance in her mind, body and spirit. Hannah and her husband live in Anchorage Alaska, where they enjoy tango, biking and cooking adventures, and she makes every effort to enjoy the Alaskan sunshine when she can - which sometimes means moving her reading space to the couch by the window! Graduate Cum Laude from Dominican University of California with a Bachelors in Health Science and a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy. Member: American Association of Occupational Therapy (AOTA) Aug 2015 - Present.
